Marek Hamšík’s father warns his Napoli future depends on whether they “value him as he deserves”.
The Partenopei captain impressed with Slovakia at Euro 2016, leading to speculation that he could move elsewhere this summer.
“In Marek’s case, everything has to start from what he feels,” Richard Hamšík told Sivot.
“He’s always said that he’s tied to Napoli, he loves the club and he’d like to retire there. Whether that actually happens isn’t certain though.
“If they’re willing to value Marek as he deserves, he’ll stay at Napoli. If not we’ll have to think about other offers.
“It’s true that if they sold him then the fans would probably never forgive the club owner [Aurelio De Laurentiis], but he might have a totally different view of things.”
