Monaco officially signed Morgan De Sanctis after the latter finished his spell at Roma.
The goalkeeper's contract in the capital expired and was not renewed for another season.
The Ligue 1 club picked up the 39-year-old for only one year, as confirmed by an official statement on their site.
“AS Monaco are pleased to announce the signing of Morgan De Sanctis, who has agreed to join the club for one season,” reads the statement.
“The Italian international goalkeeper (six caps), who has had spells with Juventus, Napoli, Sevilla and Galatasaray, has spent the last three seasons at AS Roma, where he made almost 80 appearances.
“Morgan De Sanctis will head to Lausanne to link up with the first-team squad at their training camp on Wednesday.”
