Albania Coach Gianni De Biasi declared he’s ready to take the England job. “We could obtain great results together.”
The Italian tactician took Albania to their first ever major tournament at Euro 2016, emerging with three points from the group phase after beating Portugal in qualifying.
“I’m honoured that my name could be linked with the English national team,” De Biasi told SunSport.
“The football players have talent and feature qualities which need to be rediscovered in an appropriate way.
“Working as a manager for England would be a big opportunity which you cannot decline.
“I’m convinced, and I’m saying this with a lot of humility, that we could obtain great results together.”
Today the English FA met with Sam Allardyce to discuss the role.
Roy Hodgson resigned after crashing out of Euro 2016 in a 2-1 defeat to Iceland.
De Biasi had been among the candidates for the Italy job after Antonio Conte’s departure, but the FIGC appointed Giampiero Ventura.
