Besiktas accused Jose Sosa of “using terrorism as an excuse to join Milan, but it’s a crime to negotiate his sale without our consent.”
The 31-year-old trequartista is under contract with Besiktas until June 2018 and is pushing for a move to San Siro.
However, Besiktas President Fikret Orman told Turkish reporters he’s not remotely interested in talks.
“I think Sosa assumes we are stupid. Saying he’s scared of terrorism is just an excuse. Terrorists blew themselves up in Paris, there’s a war on in Donetsk and let’s not forget this is a post-9/11 world.
“The truth is that Sosa wants to join Milan, but negotiating without our consent for a player who is under contract is a crime, both morally and legally. We do not want to sell.”
