Lazio have improved their offer for West Ham United striker Enner Valencia to €12m after Swansea City entered the race.

The Biancocelesti had intended to take him on loan with option to buy for a minimal fee.

However, Swansea’s proposal of €10m plus €3m add-ons spoiled the party.

Now La Gazzetta dello Sport claims that Lazio have revamped their bid to €4m for a loan plus €8m option to buy.

They have already agreed personal terms with Valencia, a contract worth €2m per year.

There seems to be no rush in any case, as before selling Valencia, West Ham need to find a new centre-forward.

The hope was to get Carlos Bacca, but the Milan star turned down the €30m transfer.
