Sampdoria announced out of nowhere that they have officially rescinded the contract of Nenad Krsticic, who is now a free agent.
The Serbian midfielder was a long-time Blucerchiato, having played for them since he was picked up in 2008 at the age of 18, leaving them only for a loan to Bologna.
Now the club released an early-morning statement in which they announced that their path together is finished.
“UC Sampdoria communicate that they have consensually rescinded the economic contract for the rights to the sporting performances of footballer Nenad Krsticic,” reads the statement on their site.
“To the Serbian midfielder, who played 101 games and scored three goals in his experience with the Blucerchiati, we tend our heartfelt thankfulness for the effort he's shown us over these six seasons, as well as the most sincere good luck from president Massimo Ferrero and the entire club for the future of his career.”
