Arsenal have reportedly agreed to extend Wojciech Szczesny’s Roma loan for another year and pay some of his wages.
The goalkeeper spent last term in Serie A and improved as the campaign wore on, praising the work of new Coach Luciano Spalletti.
Talks to extend his stay at the Olimpico had faltered over the past few days.
However, Sky Sport Italia, Il Tempo newspaper and other sources too claim the deal has been struck between the two clubs.
Szczesny will again be at Roma on loan this season and once more the clubs will split his €3m per year net wages.
The breakthrough arrived when the Poland international was not included in Arsenal’s summer tour squad.
