According to Italian media outlet Sport Mediaset, the Brazilian could be tempted by a second spell in the San Siro dugout, where he left in 2011.
Leonardo was the last man to guide the Nerazzurri to silverware, having triumphed in the Coppa Italia before his departure.
Other names mentioned as potential candidates for the hot-seat are Frank De Boer and Diego Simeone.
