Icardi’s wife and agent, Wanda, has been pushing for an improved salary, with his current deal made up of a €2.6m annual salary and a further €1.2m for 50 per cent of his image rights.

The newspaper reports that the player’s entourage will demand €5m per season to stay with the Beneamata, as well as full control over his image rights, taking his salary close to what the Partenopei had offered.
