Christian Vieri announced he is emerging from retirement to play in an as-of-yet unspecified club in China.
The former Azzurri striker announced his resignation in October 2009, after a long career that saw him playing for Juventus, Atletico Madrid, Lazio, Inter and Fiorentina among others.
Now the 43-year-old announced on his Instagram profile that he will return to playing football, this time for an unnamed Chinese club.
“Good morning everyone,” reads his profile. “At more or less 8:30am, there's huge news on the Formentera broadcast: Bobo is back, I've decided to go play in China.
“Five months ago I weighed 101kg, now I'm at 91kg, I've lost 10. I must drop another two, reach 89kg and I'm ready. Have a nice day.”
