Napoli are linked to Manchester City's Stevan Jovetic and Milan's Carlos Bacca as alternatives to Mauro Icardi.

The Argentinian Nerazzurro appears to be on the path towards reconciliation with his club. He recently posted a tweet that seemed addressed specifically to the fans: “Black like the night, blue the sky, golden like the stars. #PazzaInter.”

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Napoli have not given up on the striker, and that their decision to delay a meeting with Manolo Gabbiadini reflects their policy to keep waiting.

The Gazzetta dello Sport reports that Napoli have not given up on the striker, and that their decision to delay a meeting with Manolo Gabbiadini reflects their policy to keep waiting.

Their offer currently amounts to €45m plus Gabbiadini, or else €60m straight up, according to La Rosea. This is a slight come-down compared to previous reports that they were willing to pay up to €70m.

However, the Corriere dello Sport is running the line that Napoli will do more than just wait, as sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli has set his eyes on possible alternatives to Icardi.

Apparently Jovetic, who is playing for Inter on loan from Manchester City, is one candidate to join the Vesuviani. Another possibility is represented by Bacca, who looks likely to leave the Rossoneri.
