Former Inter defender Nemanja Vidic admits he and Roberto Mancini “did not have a good relationship”.
The Serbian centre-back joined the Nerazzurri from Manchester United in 2014 when his contract at Old Trafford expired.
However, he failed to impress in Serie A and later picked up a hernia injury before announcing his retirement from football.
“The club was in a period of transition as happened at United,” Vidic explained to FourFourTwo.
“Maybe it was even more evident. When I arrived seven or eight players left, and they were important ones like [Diego] Milito, [Javier] Zanetti and [Esteban] Cambiasso.
“We played with three at the back, I was in the middle and it was like I had to solve all the problems.
“Then with Mancini’s arrival it didn’t go well, I was out for two or three months and we didn’t have a good relationship.
“Then I got injured. That’s basically what happened in my time at Milan.”
