The Gazzetta dello Sport rocked the football environment by reporting that the club had been officially sold to a new Chinese business group, distinct both from the one led by Sonny Wu and Sal Galatioto, and also from the incoming team whose broker was Jorge Mendes.

Now MilanNews.it reports that the new conglomerate is led by the investor Han Li – which seems to contradict the Gazzetta's statement that the man in charge of the operation is called Yonghong Li.

Apparently Han Li was part of the original group under Sonny Wu, but approximately three weeks ago the business team broke down over internal disagreements.

Han Li formed a new group out of the schism and finalised the deal with Milan by himself, leaving brokers like Galatioto and Sal Gancikoff out of the equation, along with investor Sonny Wu.

If confirmed, these reports would explain the continuous delays that the operation suffered over the last month.
