Torino have announced the signing of midfielder Panagiotis Tachtsidis from Serie A rivals Genoa.

The Greek international is experienced in Italian football, having also previously played for Roma, Catania, Verona and Toro themselves.

“Torino Football Club is happy to announce it has acquired the sporting rights of Panagiotis Tachtsidis from Genoa CFC,” a statement on the Granata’s website reads.

25-year-old Tachtsidis also passed comment after returning to a club he played for on loan in 2014.

“I want to be back in contention and get back to being a starter. As soon as I found out about Torino’s interest I hoped the deal would be finalised as soon as possible.”
