The Partenopei's strategy for the remainder of the summer involves signing one defender, one midfielder and one striker in total, reinvesting the money from the sale of Gonzalo Higuain to strengthen the team as a whole.

According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, all three of these operations are meeting some obstacles. Dinamo Zagreb are reluctant to give away Rog now, as they have the Champions League preliminaries still to be played.

Napoli, who have a deal for the player set at €10-12m, will attempt to hasten the operation and close it by next Thursday. They will also try to sell David Lopez to Real Betis by that date, whom Rog should replace.

Torino continue to be reluctant to sell Maksimovic in spite of an offer of €20m, whilst Inter are notoriously against the idea of selling Icardi in spite of the giant €60m offer. Should neither of these deals be closed within the next week or two, the Vesuviani will aim for an alternative in both departments.

With these three remaining players signed, Napoli should have completed their transfer campaign, although they may move on the market again for another playmaker should they end up selling Mirko Valdifiori.
