Ravel Morrison's agent reveals in an exclusive interview with Football Italia that ex-Coach Stefano Pioli 'never gave him enough opportunities'.

The 23-year-old moved to Serie A in early 2015, but was barely given any space with the Biancocelesti, making only four appearances in the league last term.

“I speak for myself as his manager,” said his agent Daniel Wilson. “I feel he has not been given enough opportunities last season.

The 23-year-old moved to Serie A in early 2015, but was barely given any space with the Biancocelesti, making only four appearances in the league last term.

“I speak for myself as his manager,” said his agent Daniel Wilson. “I feel he has not been given enough opportunities last season.

“Some promises were made which weren't respected by the former Coach [Pioli], and this left us all feeling very disappointed.

“But [new Coach Simone] Inzaghi believes in him. He's giving him confidence in a way that Pioli never did.

“If he'd been given the opportunity last season, I believe he'd have proved himself as one of the strongest players in Serie A.”

With Pioli gone, and Marcelo Bielsa's short-lived summer with the club, the new season will see Lazio led by Simone Inzaghi.

“Ravel works hard no matter who his coach is," said Wilson.

“Last season [sporting director Igli] Tare said he is a special talent and is working hard. Fabio Ripert, the fitness coach, confirmed that he's been working well in pre-season.

“As for his current status, you'd have to ask the Coach. But he showed his high level in the match against Brighton [1-0 for Lazio, goal by Morrison] and hopes to show his level again in the Germany training camp, he is ready for the responsibility of being an important player.”
