It is reported that Inter Coach Roberto Mancini is moving towards signing a new contract at San Siro.
Speculation about the 51-year-old’s future with the Nerazzurri has been rife throughout the summer, amid rumours of disagreements over transfer strategy with the club’s hierarachy.
In addition, the former Manchester City manager only has one year remaining on his current deal with the club, with the Italian holding what have so far been inconclusive talks with leading Inter officials in recent weeks.
On the pitch, Mancini’s team suffered a 6-1 thrashing against Tottenham Hotspur on Friday, adding to the unrest, but Corriere della Sera say that the tactician is now ready to commit.
According to the Italian daily, Inter’s signing of Antonio Candreva, their attempts to bring more players in and their willingness to keep hold of Mauro Icardi have provided Mancini with the reassurances that he needed to continue.
