Manolo Gabbiadini scored four goals as Napoli wrecked Monaco by 5-0.

Teams are often out of condition when playing their summer friendlies, but this was most certainly not the case for the Partenopei in their match against the Ligue 1 team.

Teams are often out of condition when playing their summer friendlies, but this was most certainly not the case for the Partenopei in their match against the Ligue 1 team.

Gabbiadini in particular was at his absolute best, scoring after a mere 3' after an incursion by Faouzi Ghoulam.

The Neapolitans displayed the fast, dynamic game that Coach Maurizio Sarri showed last season. Dries Mertens was dangerous on the wings, but it was Marek Hamsik who found a winning assist for Gabbiadini to score again at the 16'.

Monaco attempted some pressing, but were only really dangerous when Kalidou Koulibaly allowed an open space.

In the second half, Gabbiadini scored again at the 48' on a penalty won by Jose Callejon and on an assist by Lorenzo Insigne at the 74', after which he was subbed off.

Allan finished the job by scoring the fifth goal from outside the box, at a point when Monaco had already virtually surrendered.
