Mario Balotelli reportedly admits 'I would go to Chievo', but his wages remain a problem.
The interest of the Gialloblu has been confirmed, but the striker's salary of €6m a year is making the operation quite complicated.
The Corriere di Verona now reports a short line by Balotelli, in which he opens to the possibility of moving to the Serie A minnows.
“I'd go to Chievo,” Balotelli said.
In the meantime, the club's president Luca Campedelli, believed to be leading the talks personally, is still hopeful.
“Dreaming doesn't cost us anything,” he said. “Today it's still a dream and we're aware it's very difficult that all the pieces are going to fit together.
“There are some obvious difficulties from an economic point of view, not to mention the competition of great clubs that Chievo can't match.”
