There are reports Mauro Icardi was so upset at Roberto Mancini’s Inter exit that he burst into tears, fuelling the desire for a Napoli move.
It was a shock when the club terminated the contract with Mancini by mutual consent, paving the way for new Coach Frank de Boer to take over.
According to FCInterNews.it, the situation hit Icardi very hard indeed, to the point that he burst into tears when told that Mancini was leaving.
This could well influence Icardi’s state of mind going forward and above all his willingness to push through a transfer to Napoli.
There was expected to be another meeting today with Napoli, who have set their sights on Maurito as the ideal replacement for Gonzalo Higuain.
So far Inter have rejected all offers, including a rumoured €70m cash bid.
