Chievo confirm they “would like” Mario Balotelli, but “we doubt Liverpool would just give him away. He’s not a priority.”
The striker spent last season on loan at Milan and has been linked with a return to Serie A after failing to impress Jurgen Klopp.
“He’s too expensive,” Chievo director of sport Luca Nember told Italiacalcio24.it.
“He has another two years of his Liverpool contract and they paid €20m for him. We doubt Liverpool would just give him away. If they want to give him to us as a gift, then that’s another matter.
“In these cases, it’s a big gap between reality and ideas. It is a very difficult negotiation prospect. We would like Balotelli, but he’s not a priority.”
