“With respect to the principles of football we are working on and our characteristics, we tried some situations that will be useful in Serie A,” the Coach told Mediaset.

“We are working on an ambitious and risky idea of football. We are only at the beginning, but have ample room for improvement. We’re in sync with the club.”

Montella was asked whether he requested experienced players or more interesting young talents.

“The ideal would be a mix of the two. We must understand what is the right balance and I certainly cannot explain that in front of a TV camera…”

Milan will face Trofeo TIM hosts Sassuolo later this evening.
