Milan are stepping up talks for Rodrigo Bentancur and Boca Juniors Vice-President admits “it’ll be hard to keep him if the offer is over €10m.”
The Rossoneri are going all-in for the Argentine midfielder, who only turned 19 in June.
“With an important offer, it will be very difficult to keep hold of Bentancur,” Boca Juniors Vice-President Horacio Paolini told ESPNFC Radio.
“If the proposal is above €10m, it will be hard to keep him.”
According to Sky Sport Italia, the proposal on the table is already €12m and getting closer to the €15m asking price.
Juventus have an option to sign Bentancur for €9.4m before April 20, 2017, a deal that was struck during the Carlos Tevez transfer to Boca.
However, it’s widely reported the Bianconeri are not interested in beating Milan’s current offer, so are leaving the path clear.
