The Diavolo's new ownership released their first official statement today, confirming the upcoming appointment of their director general.

Fassone will be appointed officially as soon as the closing for the transfer of the club's shares will be ratified.

Nevertheless, the Inter veteran has already started collaborating with the Chinese group, and is working on building a new team of directors and technical staff.

Milan's holding company, which so far was Silvio Berlusconi's Fininvest, will now be the brand-new 'Rossoneri Sport', renamed for the purpose of taking care of the club.

While a direct translation of Sino Europe's official statement from Chinese has not yet been released, MilanNews.it report that the note also thanks Berlusconi, Italy, China, and Milan fans all over the world.

“The team will be able to return to the highest levels of Europe one step at a time,” reads the only line of the statement that is available in Italian. “In the utmost respect for the history of AC Milan and the true values of the sport.”
