Milan Coach Vincenzo Montella won't answer questions about Rodrigo Bentancur: 'I don't do the market, that's down to the club'.

The Rossoneri recently lost the Trofeo Tim against Celta Vigo and Sassuolo, but the Coach was pleased with the performance of his players, including goal-less Carlos Bacca.

“Bacca is a great player, and I like his character too, you can feel his presence on the pitch,” Montella told Sky Sports. “Our first game against Celta Vigo was of a very high level. We conceded very little and created several opportunities.

“Against the Spaniards things were difficult, because they didn't allow very much and we played with an unusual system, which will prove useful over the championship.

“Versus Sassuolo we did extremely well in the first 20 minutes, though perhaps we were a bit too vain. Then we got tired.”

The Aeroplanino was then asked about Jack Bonaventura, whose performance was impressive, and transfer target Rodrigo Bentancur.

“Jack is a player that can be employed in a variety of roles. We need to lay out a path for him. And he wasn't even in top condition yesterday.

“As for Bentancur, I can only talk about the players I have. You can't ask me to handle the market, the club already knows everything. We need a mix of players who have good character and others for the future. The club evaluates these things.”

"Niang? I believe in him. He still has to learn many things, he needs to know when to go for an individual play and when to play with the team. His path is still at the beginning, he can improve a lot."
