Emery: ‘I want to keep Matuidi’

Paris Saint-Germain Coach Unai Emery warns Juventus off Blaise Matuidi - “I want him to stay”.

The Bianconeri are believed to be interested in the French international as a replacement for Paul Pogba, who joined Manchester United for a world-record €105m.

However, the chairman of his current club has already made it clear the midfielder is not for sale, and the PSG Coach echoes those words.

“I want the best players with me, with the squad and with PSG,” Emery told reporters in a Press conference.

“Matuidi is one of them. The decision comes down to three elements: the club, the player and the team. Me, I want him to stay. He’s very important.

“He’s a good player, he’s part of the identity of the club. He’s one of the leaders. My opinion is clear, I want him to stay.”
