Serie B side Ternana have officially appointed Benito Carbone as their new Coach after sacking Christian Panucci in pre-season.
The tournament kicks off on the weekend of August 27, but Ternana will have precious little time to prepare under their new tactician.
Panucci confirmed his reputation as a fiery figure when the row with club directors over transfer strategy and other behind the scenes issues saw him sacked this week.
His staff followed today and Benny Carbone was formally handed the job.
This is Carbone’s debut Serie B campaign as a Coach after spells in the lower divisions with Pavia, Varese and Pro Sesto.
