Torino have officially completed the signing of Luca Rossettini from Bologna.

It was reported earlier today that the surprise signing of the 31-year-old was close, and he’s likely to be a replacement for Nikola Maksimovic, who has gone on strike to force a move away.

“Torino Football Club is delighted to announce the outright signing of Luca Rossettini from Bologna FC 1909,” a statement on the Granata’s website announced, before some words from the player.

“I’m extremely proud to have been chosen by Toro,” Rossettini said.

“For their history and what they’ve done in recent years, this remains one of the most prestigious and admired clubs in Italy.

“Evidently this was my destiny, in the past it’s been spoken about and now it’s come true – I’ll wear the Granata shirt.

“I’m grateful to President [Urbano] Cairo and to [sporting] director [Gianluca] Petrachi for this opportunity, I’m ready to make myself available immediately to the Coach [Sinisa Mihajlovic] and my new teammates.”
