Castan re-routed to Torino

In a surprise twist, Leandro Castan could join Torino just weeks after Roma loaned him out to Sampdoria.

The Granata are forced to readjust at the back following Nikola Maksimovic’s row with the club and imminent transfer to Napoli.

According to both Sky Sport Italia and SportItalia this afternoon, Castan is the target for new Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic and very close to being re-routed to Turin, possibly as early as tomorrow.

The centre-back missed practically an entire season when a cavernoma was discovered – a cluster of irregular blood vessels in the brain – and he required surgery.

Despite being back to fitness, he barely featured under Rudi Garcia and then Luciano Spalletti last term.

This seems to also be a loan move, meaning Sampdoria need to find another defender.

Roma have already done several deals with Toro this summer, exchanging Adem Ljajic, Iago Falque and Bruno Peres.
