Torino have confirmed their second signing of the day, as Lorenzo De Silvestri joins from Sampdoria.
The Granata have already secured the loan signing of Leandro Castan today, with the Brazilian arriving from Roma via Samp.
It was reported earlier today that a deal for De Silvestri was close, and that transfer has now been officially confirmed.
“Torino Football Club is delighted to announce the outright signing of Lorenzo De Silvestri from U.C Sampdoria,” a statement on the Granata’s website confirmed, before a short statement from the player.
“Among other things, competitive zeal is part of the DNA of Toro, and is well within the spirit of Coach Sinisa Mihajlovic.
“I’m happy to return to working with him after my previous experiences at Fiorentina and Sampdoria, because his game has often enhanced my characteristics and I’ll do everything to make that happen at Toro too.
“I’m very fired-up, I thank President [Urbano] Cairo, [sporting] director [Gianluca] Petrachi and everyone at the club for the trust they’ve placed in me.”
