Antonio Candreva is impressed with new Inter Coach Frank de Boer, as “we want to take command in every game.”

The former Lazio winger had originally been requested by Roberto Mancini, but the tactician left just two weeks before the start of the season.

“This is the biggest opportunity of my career. I am at a big club, I think at the right age to target success,” Candreva told Mediaset Premium.

“I am here to win and all of us are working towards achieving great objectives.”

Was Candreva surprised by the sudden exit of Mancini?

“The whole club wanted me, obviously with the all-clear from Mancini too. It’s a shame I didn’t get to know him better, because when I arrived I was recovering from an injury.

“Now there’s the new Coach, who made a wonderful first impression on the squad and we really want to amaze people so they can celebrate like in the old days.

“De Boer is very good at preparing for matches in training. We want to take command in every game and keep the ball.”
