Everton have made a €30m bid for Napoli forward Manolo Gabbiadini, according to reports.

The 24-year-old joined the Partenopei from Sampdoria in January of 2015, but has struggled to hold down a starting spot under both Maurizio Sarri and Rafa Benitez.

Gabbiadini hit eight goals and an assist in only eight starts in his first six months at San Paolo, and contributed five goals and three assists last season – again mostly from the bench.

With the departure of Gonzalo Higuain to Juventus this summer, it was thought the Italian international may finally become a regular starter, but he was hauled-off after just 53 minutes against Pescara last night.

Now Premium Sport is reporting that Everton have made an offer of €25m [£21.5m] plus another €5m [£4.3m] in bonuses.

It’s not clear if Napoli are willing to sell the striker, but the outlet claims Simone Zaza of Juventus would be their first choice as a replacement.
