Inter’s deal for Gabriel Barbosa could be closed this week, according to reports in Brazil.
The Nerazzurri are vying with Juventus for the Santos forward, commonly known as Gabigol, and the Brazilian club’s President confirmed those are the only two official offers.
Now UOL is reporting that the Milanese club have an advantage, as Santos prefer their offer to that of the Bianconeri.
The reason is that the Old Lady are attempting to use Doyen Sports, who own 20 per cent of Gabigol’s registration, as leverage, while Inter negotiated directly with his agent, Kia Joorabchian.
The Beneamata have reportedly sent an envoy to Brazil, and the transfer could be concluded this week for €25m, with the player signing a €3.5m per season contract.
