There are reports today the Partenopei are more eager to exchange their striker with Nikola Kalinic, plus a cash sum of €10-15m, than sell him to Everton for €25m.

“I had heard Napoli intended to propose Gabbiadini in a swap with Simone Zaza, which Juventus did not appreciate, so this is why they made the same type of proposal to Fiorentina for Kalinic,” Marino told Rai Sport.

“If Napoli were to sell Gabbiadini for a cash sum, they’d need to pay an extra 50 per cent tax, so it is in their interest to go for a swap.”
