Milan goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma will reportedly get his first senior Italy call-up against France.
The Azzurri will host France at the Stadio San Nicola in Bari on September 1.
It’s the opening game under new Coach Giampiero Ventura and Donnarumma is expected to be in the group.
Aged just 17 years and six months, he’d be the youngest senior Italy player in 105 years.
The only ones younger were Rodolfo Gavinelli (16 years, three months and eight days), Renzo De Vecchi (16 years, three months and 23 days) and Luigi Barbesino (18 years and two months).
They were all called up for international duty between 1910 and 1911.
Last weekend the 17-year-old shot-stopper saved a stoppage-time penalty to ensure Milan beat Torino 3-2.
