The domino effect is not to be underestimated in the transfer market during the final days before Wednesday’s deadline.

According to Calciomercato.it, Fiorentina have decided not to release striker Kalinic this summer.

They would be resisting an offer of up to €30m from Napoli for the 28-year-old Croatia international.

In turn, failing to get Kalinic would mean Napoli abandon their plans to sell Gabbiadini to Everton.

Negotiations were in progress today with the Premier League club, but the proposal of €22.5m was considerably lower than the asking price of €25m plus €5m in bonuses.

It’s possible both deals will be abandoned and Gabbiadini may well remain at the Stadio San Paolo.
