Manolo Gabbiadini’s situation is up in the air, as Napoli failed to agree a transfer fee with Everton, while he prefers Fiorentina.

The striker is on the market, but only if the Partenopei can find a suitable replacement.

According to Sky Sport Italia and SportItalia, Everton have only offered €22.5m for Gabbiadini.

This is below the asking price Napoli set of €25m plus €5m in bonuses.

The other problem is that Napoli’s first choice heir, Nikola Kalinic, has been locked down by Fiorentina.

However, SportItalia maintain Gabbiadini would prefer Florence to Everton anyway, so is pushing for a swap deal with Kalinic.

This too was suggested over the last few days, but Fiorentina wanted a substantial cash sum – €10-15m – on top of Gabbiadini to part company with Serbia international Kalinic.
