Chelsea's proposed swap between Cesc Fabregas and Marcelo Brozovic has been ruled out by Inter.
There had been rumours that the Blues had proposed such a move as Coach Antonio Conte is very keen on the Croatian.
Although the prospect of picking up Fabregas plus cash must have been tempting, today's edition of the Gazzetta dello Sport reports that nothing will come of it.
The Nerazzurri consider Brozovic a crucial element of their squad, and there are doubts surrounding Fabregas' compatibility with their current tactical set-up.
Having already turned down Juventus for the 23-year-old, they have now snubbed Chelsea as well.
