Napoli have finally signed Nikola Maksimovic just before the transfer deadline for a reported €27m plus Mirko Valdifiori.
The negotiations have been dragging on since January and deteriorated three weeks ago when Maksimovic went AWOL from training in protest.
The two clubs finally agreed terms last night for a reported €27m plus the loan with option to buy of Mirko Valdifiori.
However, tonight the Torino statement confirms Valdifiori has moved on a permanent basis, while Maksimovic goes to Napoli on loan with obligation to buy.
It's now believed to be a €5m loan with €20m obligation to buy.
The Serbia international was held up in Frankfurt by a security alert, so Napoli sent a private jet.
He was whisked straight to Rome, but the delays meant he signed the contract in Frankfurt and faxed it over.
Napoli then had to wait for Torino to sign and send it back to them.
The contract was finally deposited with the Lega Serie A this evening.
