Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini is believed to be close to an exit, with Milan his possible destination.
The Giallorossi director has been working with Franco Baldini over the summer transfer window, and its believed he’s been slightly sidelined.
According to La Repubblica, it was Baldini who was keen to bring Wojciech Szczesny back from Arsenal, and the former Tottenham technical director was key in the push for Jack Wilshere.
Now it’s thought Sabatini could walk away from his current position, and there may be a space for him at Milan.
The Rossoneri’s current setup sees Adriano Galliani handle transfer business, but the new Chinese owners are expected to appoint their own team when they officially take over.
Marco Fassone will be the new director general, and it’s thought he’s keen to have Sabatini with him at San Siro.
Sino-Europe Sport are expected to invest heavily the January transfer market, and Sabatini could be the man charged with reinforcing the squad.
