Napoli Coach Maurizio Sarri chose to keep Roberto Insigne, Lorenzo's younger brother: 'He'll become among the best!'
The 22-year-old is overshadowed within the Partenopei team by his older sibling, but the tables may one day be turned.
According to La Repubblica, the player demonstrated enormous growth over two months in the pre-season training, and Coach Sarri was among the most impressed.
In the market's closing day Roberto Insigne was requested by Carpi, but the operation never took off, not least because of the tactician's own resistance.
“Leave him with me,” said Sarri. “He'll learn a lot with us and become one of the best.”
Insigne is a winger-striker like his brother, but he plays on the right instead of the left, and it is conceivable that someday the two could play on the same team.
