This is the opening qualifier in their group, which also contains Spain, Albania, Macedonia and Lichtenstein.

There are some surprises and the shape remains to be seen, but should be a 4-2-3-1 formation.

Sheran Yeini is an unexpected starter in midfield, having struggled for playing time at Vitesse, while Ben Bitton beats Eli Dasa of Maccabi to a place in defence.

Striker Tomer Hemed is placed as the centre-forward, supported by Brighton & Hove’s Biram Kayal, Tal Ben-Haim and former Palermo man Erin Zahavi.

Eyal Golasa is not in the starting XI, as he has still not fully recovered from a thigh strain.
