Bologna Coach Roberto Donadoni does not regret turning down the Azzurri, whilst praising his 'interesting youngsters'.
The former winger, who turns 53 today, was considered last summer for a surprising return to the helm of the national team, but eventually Giampiero Ventura got the job.
“I don't regret that, because I never looked behind in my career,” Donadoni told Il Resto del Carlino. “When I can't reach a target, I always think, 'I can't give up here, otherwise I'd be proving my critics right'.

“We have a lot of interesting youngsters, but they're still not confirmed. This will be a transitional year, with the idea that next season something will change.”
