Ciro Immobile believes he is at the right club following the first three games of his Lazio career.
The 26-year-old joined the Biancocelesti over the summer, following difficult spells abroad with Borussia Dortmund and Sevilla.
During an interview after his side’s 1-1 draw at Chievo on Sunday, the forward also discussed Coach Simone Inzaghi and his time away from Serie A.
“I have had the fortune to have great Coaches,” Immobile told La Domenica Sportiva. “I started with Conte, I had the experience with him, now I have Inzaghi who is someone who really wants to develop.
“I think I have found the right group for me, together we can do good things.
“The real negative experience was in Spain, I only had the happiness of scoring against Real Madrid.
“In Germany I didn’t do brilliantly but I still scored four goals in the Champions League. There were different problems in the team, it was difficult.”
Immobile was then questioned on his team’s performance against Chievo, played out in searing heat.
“It wasn’t an easy match, we didn’t manage to impose our game on them. Chievo are always a difficult team to play at home.
“It [drinks break] doesn’t help much if you just take one minute to drink. It was very hot in Verona, maybe it would have been better to play in the evening.”
Finally, the Italy international admitted that Juventus are still the dominant force in Serie A and praised Francesco Totti for his match-winning penalty against Sampdoria.
“Juventus? They are still stronger compared to the others. Against them we deserved to draw, but they only needed one chance to score. You can see their superiority from that.
“Totti? I am a Laziale, but he is a legend and a symbol for all of Italian football. Obviously I hope he doesn’t do that in the Derby.”
