The Partenopei are temporarily top of the table awaiting today’s results after beating Bologna 3-1 last night.

“We give our all in every game and will try to go as far as possible,” Insigne told Rai Sport and Sky Sport Italia.

“This is a young side and we are learning so much from (Coach Maurizio) Sarri. We get to put into practice everything he teaches us during the week.”

Insigne and Dries Mertens seem to be in a squad rotation pattern, as are Arek Milik and Manolo Gabbiadini. Does this cause tension?

“I get on very well with Mertens. The Coach decides who steps on to the field and we need to give our all for Napoli. We are all in good shape, so the Coach is playing us all at different times because we’re all useful to reach certain objectives.

“As long as we keep winning, everybody’s happy! I tell Gabbiadini to relax, because he’s a great striker and will certainly emerge in the long run.”

Insigne’s future at Napoli has been in doubt after his agent failed to work out terms for a contract renewal.

“I just focus on my football, my agents think of the rest. My desire is to remain with the Azzurri jersey, as it has always been my desire to play in this stadium and for these fans. I love this jersey and these club colours.”
