Corriere dello Sport details how the pair met in a restaurant last Tuesday in front of several witnesses and spoke to one another amicably for a few minutes, before shaking hands.

“It was a nice and quick conversation, Lotito was quiet and there was no tension,” Pallotta told the newspaper.

“We spoke in English and Claudio understood everything.”

Lotito cryptically added: “With the Roma President, there’s always been maximum fairness, it’s the journalists who speak of conflicts that don’t exist.

“Our rapport is a positive one. What language did we speak in? In Cispadano.”

Pallotta was most recently on record as saying Lotito “made him laugh” after the Lazio patron suggested Roma sporting director Walter Sabatini called Marcelo Bielsa to discourage him from becoming Lazio Coach.
