Rodriguez: ‘Udinese will be tough’

Gonzalo Rodriguez warns Fiorentina that Udinese “have always been difficult for us”.

The Viola face the Zebrette tomorrow in Udine, and are flying high after beating Roma 1-0 at the weekend.

“We’re good, when the team wins everything is always more calm,” Rodriguez told Viola Channel.

“Now we have to think about Udinese, who are a tough team and playing them away from home has always been difficult for us.

“They’re a tough team, very physical. This year we have to play in a different way against Udinese, we have to keep the ball longer and make sure our concentration is at the maximum level for 90 minutes if we’re to win the game.

“We’ve shown we’re a strong team, against Roma it was a fairly even match but we took more risks to win the game.

“We risked it and we won, so we have to continue like this. We’re a great group.”

Fiorentina have kept three clean sheets in a row, but the defender is keen to share the credit with the rest of the team.

“When a team has to defend, everyone defends and and the same goes for the attack. The important thing is to have balance.

“It’s been three games we haven’t conceded and we have to continue it.”
