Former Italy boss Cesare Prandelli believes Napoli are the biggest challengers to Juventus for the Serie A title this season.

Juve’s loss to Inter over the weekend sees Napoli lead the way after four games, and Prandelli is backing the Partenopei to sustain their Scudetto tilt for the entire campaign.

“Inter’s victory on Sunday gave a lot of morale to Napoli, the Nerazzurri and all the teams that are fighting to win the League,” he told Il Mattino.

“Among the pretenders to Juventus’ throne, Napoli are definitely the team that are ahead, simply because they’ve been able to live without the fear of Higuain’s departure.

“Indeed, it seems that his departure has led to a motivational growth of the others.

“Sarri has an advantage over De Boer, Spalletti and Montella. He already has a very reliable system in place.

“Changing the soloists within this context, the entire orchestra stays the same.”
