Paulo Sousa blames Fiorentina for “throwing away the opening 30 minutes” of their 2-2 draw at Udinese.

The Tuscans twice went behind, but fought back with a Khouma Babacar back-heel flick and Federico Bernardeschi penalty.

“Today we threw away the opening 30 minutes against an opponent that likes to sit deep and play on the counter, works well with its strikers and has a lot of aerial threat in the box,” Sousa told Mediaset Premium.

“We were able to come back twice and that is a good signal, but we cannot start like that again. We must make the most of the full 90 minutes to seek the victory.

“Timidly we started to be ourselves only in the second half. We are working on crosses and the final ball, as our decision-making is often frenetic and we need to think more carefully about these situations.”
