The Dutchman succeeded Roberto Mancini as Nerazzurri boss shortly before the start of the season but his position came under immediate pressure following a poor start.

However, recent victories over Juventus and Empoli have given the 46-year-old some breathing space at San Siro, with the Italian daily now providing an insight into life at the club's Appiano Gentile base.

According to the report, De Boer places a lot of emphasis on rest and recuperation both after matches and during the week. He is said to be giving his Inter players a day off for every three that they work.

The Coach was so pleased with the team’s performances in their last two games that the day after returning from Empoli, he rewarded the squad by scheduling the next day's training for the afternoon rather than the morning.

Meanwhile, the number of times the team stays together in a hotel prior to matches has been dramatically reduced. An example of this was the recent, relatively short trip to Empoli, which was completed within a single day.

In terms of conduct on the training pitch, the former Ajax Coach is simply asking his squad to respect simple rules. Should training take place in the morning, he expects players to have breakfast at Appiano.
